Flu Vaccine Clinics

posted Oct 28, 2016, 6:53 AM by Tracy Wood
The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services will conduct free, injectable flu vaccine clinics on November 7, 2016, for children ages 3 to 18 at three Montgomery County Public Schools high schools. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention does not recommend the Flu Mist (nasal spray) vaccine this year; therefore, nasal spray flu vaccine clinics will not be held at elementary schools.

The clinics will be held at John F. Kennedy, Richard Montgomery, and Seneca Valley High schools from 9:00 a.m.-12 noon. School is not in session for students as it is a professional day for teachers. These clinics will be open to any school-aged children.

All clinics are free; however, registration is required due to limited vaccine supplies.

For more information about these and other upcoming clinics, please visit the following website: http://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/flu Register your child at http://www2.montgomerycountymd.gov/mcvaccineclinic or call 311 for assistance. The flu vaccine also may be available from your health care provider.
